Dharmapuri's Book Festival has Begun

Dharmapuri's Book Festival has Begun | Frontlist

On Friday, the Thagadur book festival opened its doors to book enthusiasts at Vallalar Grounds. The district administration, Bharathi Puthagalayam, and Thagadur Puthaga Peravai are working together to organise the 10-day book festival. 

Over the course of a week, seasoned lecturers, writers, and poets will lead evenings of dialogues and ideas.

Each day at 7 p.m., speakers will present a session of ideas and conversations on a variety of topics.

Sundarajan of Poovulagin Nanbargal will speak on 'Sutramum Soozhalum' on September 9; J. Jeyaranjan, vice-chairperson of the State Planning Commission, and M. Gunasekaran, Chief New Editor, Sun News, will speak on "Eppadi Valarndhadhu Tamil Nadu?" on September 10; and M. Gunasekaran, Chief New Editor, Sun News, will speak on "Eppadi Valarndhadhu Tamil Nadu?" says the narrator.; on September 11, K. Arumugathamizhan will speak about 'Deivathal Aagadheninum', and C. Kamaraj will speak about 'Noolagam Ennum Thirukovil'; on September 12, writers Keeranur Jagirraja and M. Murugesh will speak about 'Ezhuthe Vaazhkai' and 'Pesathudikkum Puthagangal'; on September 13, poet Nandalal will speak on 'Chitthiram Pesudadi' on September 14; poet Shakti Jothi and Sahithya Academy winner S. Darman will speak on 'Kadai Kadayam Kaaranamam' on September 16; and scientist T.V. Venkateswaran will speak on 'Bhoomikku Enna Joram - Enna Maruthuvam' on September 17.

Dharmapuri Book Fair will be open from dawn to night and will feature over 100 stalls and thousands of volumes. M.R.K. Paneerselvam, Minister of Agriculture, will formally open the expo on Saturday.
